What is the Difference Between Thunderbolt and Light Peak?
Light Peak was the code name given to the technology by Intel while they were developing it. Apple was the first to license this technology for use and likely had input into the final naming of ThunderBolt. The technology code named ‘Light Peak’ and ‘Thunderbolt’ are one in the same.
